Professor Toleman is Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Member of the Association for Information Systems, Member of the Australian Computer Society and Emeritus Member of the Association of Australian University Secretaries. Professor Toleman has published over 190 peer reviewed articles in areas ranging from information systems to human-computer interaction to agricultural science. His research interests are broad and include policy evaluation, university governance, community support tool development, information technology service management (ITSM), information technology governance, design science, agile system development methodologies, the researcher-practitioner nexus, Human-Computer Interaction, usability, e-business, etc. He also remains interested in software tool design, development and evaluation (and he really likes snow skiing and crusing).
