个人简介
Marco Monforte (Student Member, IEEE) received the Laurea degree magna cum laude in automation engineering from the Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, Naples, Italy, in 2017. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, Università degli Studi di Genova, Genoa, Italy.
His doctoral research investigates the use of neuromorphic event-driven cameras for robotics. His current focus is on combining these sensors with deep learning techniques for prediction and robot control in highly dynamic tasks. His master thesis focused on designing a robot learning pipeline in a low dimensionality space for reach-to-grasp movements. Human demonstrations have been used to provide a human-like behavior to the robot, and by applying dimensionality reduction techniques, to obtain a reduced space where both supervised and reinforcement learning algorithms can operate. His research interests include robot grasping and navigation, addressed during a six months period with SoftBank Robotics Europe, Paris, France.
