His research is focused towards identifying novel mechanisms and biomarkers associated to senescent cells. The laboratory has also a strong interest to characterize the pro-disease functions of senescent cells induced during aging and by anti-cancer therapies. A major goal is to exploit these findings for the development of rejuvenating interventions.
