His research work focuses on data stream processing and semantic web. His major interest is the management of heterogeneous stream of data generated by social and sensor networks. He developed Streaming Linked Data (SLD), a framework to collect data streams, analyze them and visualize the results in dashboards. He is actively involved in the development of the C-SPARQL Engine and in the W3C Community Group on RDF Stream Processing (RSP). He participated in the research activities of the EU FP7 project LarKC where he was involved in Bottari app development (winner of Semantic Web Challenge 2011) and in the activities of the EU FP7 project ModaClouds applying the RDF Stream Processing techniques to monitor multi-clouds applications.
    He is now participating in the research activities of City Data Fusion for Event Management, a project funded by EIT ICT Labs.
