Marcelo Zugaib

Professor Marcelo Zugaib is Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at São Paulo University. After graduation in Medicine and specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology he was research fellow, at the Department of Obstetrics, University of California, San Francisco, USA. His researches are focused on Maternal-Fetal Medicine with the great contribution in the aspect of prevention in preterm deliveries. Dr Zugaib research team also are involved in researches on preeclampsia, fetal surveillance, ultrasound screening for fetal chromosomal abnormalities and malformations, twin pregnancies, fetal therapy and complications after Cesarean section. He has published over 450 scientific papers of which 180 in international PubMed cited journals, 20 books and more than 200 book chapters.
