Dr Tahita, who is born at Ouagadougou in Burkina, was educated at the universities of Ouagadougou and Bobo. He is unmarried. From 2002 to 2005 he joined the Microbiology Unit of the University of Ouagadougou as responsible for the practical works and after he received his Pharm D. In order to have a complete training, he joined the international NGO “Pharmaciens sans Frontières” as consultant at the beginning and after as permanent Pharmacist for their project in Burkina Faso. In 2006 he joined the staff of Institute of Health Science Research, Regional direction of Bobo-Dioulasso” (IRSS-DRO). One of the four technical divisions of the big research center in Burkina. Its overall goals are to seek solution to priority health problems through research, to coordinate health related research in Burkina Faso and to disseminate research results. At IRSS, Tahita’s with some collaborators from Luxemburg set up the detection of avian influenza by RT-PCR and contribute a lot for the management of the avian flu epidemic in the country in 2006. He is now the focal point at the institute for these techniques. In 2007, he joined the team of Professor TINTO Halidou for research on malaria. Since this time to now he involved in several studies and clinical trials. He was the Lab Director of the big malaria vaccine trial, the RTSS vaccine for the Burkina team. For this function, he was in charge of the quality assurance system and management, the validation of all the equipment of the lab. Now, his research activity focused on malaria parasite biology and is oriented towards the epidemiology of resistance with ACTs in pregnant women. He is holding a PhD in Medical Sciences from the University of Antwerp since 2017.
