María Teresa López

María Teresa López received the B.Sc. degree in mathematics from the University of Santiago de Compostela, Santiago de Compostela, Spain, and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees (also in mathematics) from a consortium between the Universities of Oviedo, Oviedo, Spain, and Cantabria, Santander, Spain, in 1982 and 1987, respectively. She is currently an Associate Professor of statistics with the University of Oviedo. All her research has been linked to the statistical analysis of fuzzy data and the biomedical applications of statistics. Her research interests on the analysis of fuzzy data include the comparison of random experiments, the study of information and dispersion measures, as well as decision problems involving fuzzy data.
