个人简介
Scientific activity
The scientific activity of Dr. Bartolini is mainly focused on (1) development of rapid analysis methods based on bioreactors containing immobilized enzymes for the evaluation of the activity and mechanism of action of compounds of pharmaceutical interest or for applications in the field proteomic or glycomic; (2) study of both spontaneous and AChE-induced beta-amyloid peptide aggregation; (3) study of albumin modifications with particular reference to glycation and their implications in chronic complications of diabetes.
Prof. Bartolini has carried out and continues her research activity through various national and international collaborations.
The research activity resulted in the publication of 106 articles in international journals, a book chapter in English (ILM publications), a book chapter in Italian (Società Editrice Esclulapio), two international patents and numerous communications at congresses. .
Referee of international and Italian journals in the field of pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmaceutical analysis.
Membership in scientific and editorial committees
Since 2008 he has been a member of the organizing and scientific committee of the Summer School on Pharmaceutical Analysis (SSPA).
Since 2012 he has been a member of the editorial board of the magazine "Chromatographia".
In 2013 she was scientific secretary of the International Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Analysis 2013 congress
In 2017 he was a member of the scientific committee of the international congress Recent Developments in Pharmaceutical Analysis 2017
Since 2018 he has been a member of the scientific committee of the MS Pharmaday congress.
Keywords: IMERs (Immobilized Enzyme Reactors)Alzheimer's diseasespectrophotometric and fluorometric techniquesProteomics and glycomicsBiorecognition phenomena
- Alzheimer's disease. Studies of structure-activity relationships and mechanism of action of new synthetic and natural compounds on target enzymes (acetylcholinesterase and butyrylcolinesterase) and aggregation of beta amyloid peptide.
- Advanced analytical methods in drug discovery, glycomics and proteomics. Development of bioreactors containing immobilized enzymes for the on-line evaluation of biologically active compounds, for protein digestion in proteomic approaches and for protein deglycosylation in glycomic approaches.
- Diabetes mellitus. Investigation of the role of advanced glycation end-products in the onset of chronic complications of diabetes associated with RAGE activation.
- Investigation of biorecognition phenomena by optical biosensor.
