I am working on Flap EndoNuclease (FEN’s) from pathogenic bacteria and undertaking mechanistic studies and a structure-based drug design approach aimed at eventually delivering new antimicrobial agents to combat the problems of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Additionally, I am also involved in Coronavirus research, as part of the COG-UK consortium (https://www.cogconsortium.uk/) as well as I cloned, expressed & purified different variants of nucleocapsid antigens in E. coli at IICD, UoS, UK.
