Manfred Frick received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Innsbruck, in 2003. From 2004 to 2008, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher with the MRC-LMB, Cambridge, U.K. From 2008 to 2010, he joined Pfizer, Sandwich, U.K., as a Senior Scientist, before moving to Ulm in 2010. He was a Professor for Physiology with the Institute of General Physiology, University of Ulm, in 2014. He has published more than 80 peer-reviewed articles, contributed several book chapters and held patents for investigation of airway epithelia. His main research interests include physiology and pathophysiology of pulmonary epithelia. He also serves on editorial roles for several scientific journals.
