He has mastered the most modern treatment for the stone disease and developed innovative techniques in Percutaenous Nephrolithotrispy (PCNL), Ureteroscopy and ESWL. So far he has done more than 14000 PCNL, probably the largest series in the world. He expanded the use of ultrasound in Urology and established, for the first time, the service of kidney transplantation in Gujarat. In the year 1980 he did his first transplant, 2868 Renal Transplants have been done at MPUH so far. He organized an epidemiological survey for prostatic diseases in ageing male population in Kheda / Charotar district, Gujarat, India.
