个人简介
My research is primarily focused on understanding and developing robust computational imaging and machine learning techniques for analyzing images from medical imaging platforms, such as in digital pathology, both from applied and theoretical perspectives.The advent of high-throughput whole slide imaging (WSI) in digital pathology has opened new opportunities for the creation of new knowledge transfer in medical histopathology. I aim to address new challenges of computational pathology and computational imaging solutions in WSI that have recently emerged. This includes addressing lack of (a) interpretable databases for AI developments in computational pathology to assist pathologist for diagnostic evaluations, and (b) accurate and fast image reconstruction/assessment techniques to address challenges of commputational complexites for big-data analysis. The anticipated outcome of these projects is the development of a sophisticated imaging workflow, integrated with AI solutions for clinical validations, which will improve efficiency and accuracy of pathologic diagnosis of disease, while making the most of strained healthcare resources.
