Prof. Massimo Robiony is full Professor and Chief Maxillofacial Surgery Academic Hospital of Udine Department of Medicine University of Udine He is the promoter and coordinator of Facial Care Project. Facial Care Project's objective is to serve as a frame of reference for the development of action-research projects in the field of counseling, prevention, medical and surgical treatment of diseases of the cranio-maxillo-facial area.This Innovative Advanced Thecnological Project and Humanization offer to the patient a truly personalized treatment and adhering as closely as possible to their needs, it is necessary to resort to innovative surgical techniques, which apply in the clinical field the technological resources and the results of experimental research, in view of a translational medicine. The lines of research within the Facial Care Project are inherent to the development of more and less invasive surgical techniques and preoperative virtual surgical planning, navigation and intraoperative image display augmented reality. The currently used in clinical practice innovative surgical techniques are piezosurgery, applied in all forms of bone surgery, endoscopy of the cavity rhinosinus, minimally invasive orthognathic surgery endoscopically and that based on virtual surgical planning, the fabrication of microsurgical flaps and temporomandibular joint functional surgery, craniofacial malformations, reconstruction of traumatic injuries, surgical oncology of the oral cavity, pharynx, nasal cavity, paranasal sinuses, salivary glands, neck, orbits and cranial base.
