Bigot-Astruc, Marianne

Marianne Bigot-Astruc was born in Nice, France. She received the Ph.D. degree in materials science and engineering from Mines ParisTech, Paris, France, in 2001, in collaboration with Pirelli Pneumatici, Milan, Italy, on the subject of rheology of immiscible polymer blends. She has been working in the field of optical fibers since 2001, and she is currently with Prysmian Group, Haisnes, France. She has authored and coauthored more than 50 papers and holds more than 25 patents. Her activities include modeling optical fibers for communications, data, and specialty applications.
