Jose Luis Peiro

My main lines of research are fetal hydrocephalus, myelomeningocele/spina bifida, gastroschisis, and congenital diaphragmatic hernia. Other research interest also includes cell therapy and tissue-engineering. My group has developed several animal models for intrauterine correction of different fetal conditions and promotes translational research for human clinical application that allows me and Cincinnati Fetal Care Center to be in the clinical cutting-edge of fetal surgery.
