He has 28 years of experience in research and teaching in the areas of optoelectronics, photonics and nanotechnology. Prof. Marsal has co-authored more than 220 research papers (According to Scopus) with more than 5800 citations and with an h-Index up to 40. He holds tyhree patents on nanotechnology. He has supervised 4 Master Thesis and 16 Doctoral Thesis. Prof. Marsal leads the consolidated research group NePhoS (Nano-electronic and Photonic Systems), with which has taken part of more than 80 national and international research projects. Along his career, he has received several distinctions such as the URV Distinguished Professor, Distinguished Lecturer by the IEEE and the ICREA Academia Award.
