My research focuses mainly on the development of media effects theories, emerging media and democracy, and computational social science methodologies. My studies have been published in a number of leading peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Communication, Communication Research, New Media and Society, and Journalism & Mass Communication Quarterly (JMCQ). Recently, I have been leading a research project that examines international news coverage of COVID-19 and the impacts.
