Bio

Lars Hoffmann received the Dipl.-Ing. degree in electrical engineering and information technology and the Dr.-Ing. degree from Technische Universität München (TUM), Munchen, Germany, in 2003 and 2008, respectively. After receiving the Diploma degree, he was an R&D Engineer in the field of noise and vibration measurement in the automotive industry. Since 2005, he has been with the Institute for Measurement Systems and Sensor Technology (MST), TUM. He is currently engaged in research on fiber-optic measurement systems for the health monitoring of automotive and aerospace structures.
