Lakshmi Devi Chakkarapani received the master’s degree in inorganic chemistry from the University of Madras, India, in 2014, and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Analytical Chemistry, University of Madras. She submitted her Ph.D. thesis in 2019. During her Ph.D. work, she started an internship work as a Research Assistant at the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland (2019–2020). Now, she is working with the Center for Water and Environmental Sensors (ZWU), Danube University Krems, Austria. She specialized in electrochemical detection of bio-amines using screen printed electrodes. Her research interests are the development of electrochemical sensors for biological analytes and biosensors for E. Coli infection analysis as well as AST test, bacterial cell cultures, and biomolecules analysis from food samples by screen and inkjet printed sensors.
