个人简介
Laith Al-Jobouri received his BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 1995 from the MCE, and subsequently worked on a variety of wireless and microwave projects. He gained his MSc from the University of Mosul in 2001 in Electronic and Communication Engineering and then returned to work as a head of department for R&D in the areas of wireless communication and mobile networks, and then he worked as a country project manager for Siemens Telecommunications for mobile telecommunications infrastructure. He completed his PhD degree in Electronic Systems Engineering at the University of Essex, UK in 2013. He is founder of the IEEE CEEC series of conferences at University of Essex of which he is currently the general chair. Laith’s research interests are video and multimedia streaming over wireless, Quality of Experience, channel error coding, video coding, Forward Error Correction, wireless and mobile networks, wireless sensor networks, wireless technologies, and UAVs. He has been a Senior Research Officer at the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering, University of Essex. He is currently employed as a Senior Lecturer in Network Engineering at the University of Suffolk, Ipswich, U.K. He is also a Visiting Fellow at the University of Essex, U.K. and an External Supervisor for PhD students at Anglia Ruskin University, U.K.
