Kyungtae Han

Dr. Han is a Senior Principal Scientist at Toyota Motor North America, where he has been researching personalized intelligent vehicles by utilizing an intelligent and connected Digital Twin supported by Edge/Cloud AI framework. Prior to joining Toyota Motor North America, he held a technical leadership position at Locix as the Director for cloud-based spatial intelligence IoT solutions. From 2006 to 2015, he was a Research Scientist at Intel Labs in adaptive and context-aware computing to improve energy efficiency in laptops and other mobile platforms. Dr. Han has 40+ peer-reviewed publications and 60+ U.S. patent applications. He won the Vincent Bendix Automotive Electronics Engineering Award from SAE International and the Best Application Award at an IEEE Conference. Prior to that, he won four technical achievement awards at Intel, including the Intel Achievement Award, which is the Highest Technical Award at Intel. He is a senior member of IEEE and a member of ACM, and SAE.
