个人简介
As a Senior Research Scientist in the Department of Epidemiology, Dr. Patel contributes substantive and methodologic leadership to the Pediatric HIV/AIDS Cohort Study (PHACS), the International Maternal Pediatric Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trials network (IMPAACT), the Prospective Cohort Study of HIV and Zika in Infants and Pregnancy Study (HIV-ZIPS), the Pediatric Cost Effectiveness of Preventing AIDS Complications team (Peds-CEPAC), the Adolescent Trials Network (ATN) Modeling Core, and the Collaborative Initiative for Paediatric HIV Education and Research (CIPHER). Within these study teams, she conceptualizes research questions, applies appropriate study designs, conducts data analyses, and presents and publishes research results. Dr. Patel works collaboratively with clinicians, biostatisticians, and fellow epidemiologists both domestically and internationally, to ensure that significant clinical questions in the field of perinatal and pediatric HIV epidemiology are answered validly and efficiently so as to responsibly inform pediatric and perinatal guidelines for the management of HIV infection.
