The Sarosiek Laboratory is focused on understanding and preventing healthy tissue toxicity from anti-cancer therapies. Although chemotherapy and radiation can cure many types of cancers, patients can experience side effects that negatively impact the rest of their lives. This is especially true in children, who are at risk of developing devastating toxicities from cancer treatments. We are developing therapies and treatment strategies that will prevent these side effects, helping cancer survivors live better lives.
