Krishna Mohan Buddhiraju (Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from IIT Bombay, Mumbai, India, in 1991, specializing in the area of digital image processing and analysis. From 2016 to 2019, he was an Institute Chair Professor with the Centre of Studies in Resources Engineering, IIT Bombay, where he is currently a Professor. His research interests include deep learning and machine learning algorithms, segmentation and classification of high (spectral and spatial) resolution satellite imagery, geospatial technologies and educational content design and development for geographic information system (GIS), and image processing.
