Koushik K. Das

Koushik K. Das received the B.Tech (Hons) degree in electronics and electrical communications engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, in 1998, and the M.S. and Ph.D degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 2000 and 2003, respectively. He has been a Research Staff Member at IBM's T. J. Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, NY, since 2003. He has authored or coauthored three journal papers and 18 conference papers. He holds two U.S. patents and has three more pending. His research interests include high-speed low-power VLSI circuit design, with special interest in SOI technology. Dr. Das won the President of India's Gold Medal in 1998 for being the most outstanding undergraduate student among all branches of engineering and sciences at IIT Kharagpur. He has served in the technical program committees of IEEE International System-on-Chip Conference, ACM Great Lakes Symposium on VLSI, IEEE International Conference on Microelectronic Systems Education, and IBM Watson PAC2 conference. He has received the First Plateau Invention Achievement Award at IBM in recognition of creative contributions to IBM progress and is a lifetime member of Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society.
