I’ve worked in healthcare since 1985 in a variety of roles in emergency medicine, air medical transport and EMS as a clinician, educator, consultant and leader. My current position involves a blend of providing education, clinical duties and administration within Vanderbilt Medical Center. I teach regularly to multidisciplinary groups focusing on topics surrounding, emergency medicine, airway management, trauma care, EMS and air medical transport. I coordinate and teach the Vanderbilt Emergency Medicine Airway Cadaver Course; centered on teaching resuscitative skills and advanced airway management skills using fresh tissue cadavers. Currently my clinical time is spent focusing on providing acute/emergent care to adults and children either in the Emergency Department or as part of the Vanderbilt Event Medicine team.
