Kelly Potter

I am an assistant professor in the Center for Research, Investigation, and Systems Modeling of Acute Illness (CRISMA) in the Department of Critical Care Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. My research focuses on data-driven approaches to improve neurocognitive and functional recovery in survivors of critical illness. Using traditional statistical, machine learning, and electronic health record-embedded methods, I aim to identify subtypes of critical illness with treatable traits amenable to early intervention in the ICU. I am passionate about quantitative methods, data visualization, and collaborating with creative, multidisciplinary teams to design and implement complex projects focused on improving patient-centered outcomes.
