个人简介
威斯康星大学麦迪逊分校医学物理系李珂教授 Presentation title: A general theory of x-ray grating interferometer with arbitrary grating combinations Presentation abstract: The propagation of x-rays through matter is often accompanied by a series of physical interactions, among which photoelectric absorptions and Compton scatterings generate the x-ray absorption contrast widely utilized in medical imaging. Anatomical and functional information encoded via other interaction mechanisms such as small-angle scattering (SAS) and refraction is unfortunately wasted during routine x-ray imaging procedures. The use of an x-ray grating interferometer allows an x-ray imaging system to capture not only the absorption signal but also SAS and refraction signals from a single image acquisition process. In principle, the mutually complementary information provided by the three mechanisms can greatly improve the efficiency of x-ray imaging systems. This presentation will start by briefly reviewing the history of x-ray grating interferometry and hardware implementation methods of SAS and phase contrast imaging. In particular, it will highlight the development of a human-compatible multi-contrast mammographic imaging system in our lab that utilizes a so-called Talbot-Lau interferometer. Next, the speaker will present a unified theoretical framework that encompasses the design and performance of different grating interferometers (e.g., single phase grating, absorption + phase gratings, and triple phase gratings). Finally, the speaker will present applications of this theoretical framework in the development and optimization of multi-contrast x-ray imaging systems. About the presenter: Ke Li received his B.S. degree in Physics from Nanjing University in 2006 (thesis advisor: Prof. Zhenlin Wang), M.S. degree in Physics from the Ohio State University in 2009 (thesis advisor: Prof. Ezekiel Johnston-Halperin), and his Ph.D. degree in Medical Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2013 (thesis advisor: Prof. Guang-Hong Chen). His Ph.D. dissertation presents the world’s first x-ray phase contrast digital tomosynthesis imaging system with a medical-grade x-ray tube. In 2013, he was appointed as a clinical-track Assistant Professor of Medical Physics and Radiology at UW-Madison. In 2017, he was promoted to a tenure-track Assistant Professor due to excellence in research. Dr. Li’s current research embraces a broad scope of topics such as x-ray phase contrast imaging for early breast cancer detection, x-ray photon counting CT for stroke imaging, spectral CT for neurovascular imaging, modern signal detection theory and its application in developing advanced x-ray CT imaging systems. He has authored/co-authored more than 50 peer-reviewed journal papers, 50 conference papers, and 2 book chapters. He serves as an Associate Editor of the Medical Physics journal, member of five National Institute of Health Study Sections, expert reviewer/scientific committee member of more than 20 scientific journals and conferences. He is the recipient of the DOD Breakthrough Award, AAPM Best-in-Physics Award, SPIE Best Student Paper Award, and RSNA Trainee Research Prize. Besides research, Dr. Li also actively involves in teaching and community service. For example, he served as an instructor in an elite medical physics education program organized by the National Health Commission to promote further advancement of the Medical Physics field in China. Dr. Li also serves as the Chair of the Nanjing University Alumni Association at Madison, Wisconsin. 欢迎医学物理,尤其是X光成像以及半导体辐射探测器感兴趣的老师、同学前来交流
