Kazunori Hoshino received the Ph.D. degree from the University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, in 2000. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering with the University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT, USA. From 2003 to 2006, he was with the University of Tokyo as a full-time Lecturer with the Department of Mechano-Informatics, School of Information Science and Technology. From 2006 to 2013, he was a Senior Research Associate with the Department of Biomedical Engineering, University of Texas at Austin, Austin, TX, USA. His research interests include detection and analysis of cancer cells, and nano/micro electromechanical systems (NEMS/MEMS)-based mechanical sensing and optical imaging.
