个人简介
Karen M. Kedrowski, Ph.D., is the Whitaker-Lindgren Faculty Fellow and Professor of Political Science and Director of the Carrie Chapman Catt Center for Women and Politics at Iowa State University. She earned her BA in Political Science, History, and French from the University of Minnesota (Magna cum Laude) and her MA and PhD from the University of Oklahoma, where she was affiliated with the Carl Albert Congressional Studies and Research Center.
Prior to her career at Iowa State, Karen taught for 24.5 years at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC, where she held a number of administrative positions, including as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Karen earned Winthrop's highest faculty honor, Distinguished Professor, in 2011.
Karen also worked for a time with Families USA in Washington DC, and was an American Political Science Association Congressional Fellow and a Fulbright Scholar to McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Karen's primary fields of research are gender and politics and civic engagement. She also dabbles in congressional studies and health policy
