个人简介
Kang-Hyun Jo received the Ph.D. degree in computer vision, human computer interaction, and application to robotics from the Osaka University, Osaka, Japan, in 1997.
Then, he joined the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Ulsan, Ulsan, South Korea, right after having a year experience at the ElectroTelecommunication Research Institute (ETRI), Daejeon, Korea, as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow. He has visited for performing his research activity at Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan; the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), Seoul, Korea; and the University of California Riverside, Riverside, CA, USA. His research interests include computer vision, robotics, autonomous vehicle, and ambient intelligence.
Dr. Jo has been actively serving in societies for many years as the Director of the Institute of Control, Robotics, and Systems (ICROS), and the Society of Instrumentation, Control Engineers (SICE), Japan, and the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society Technical Committee of Human Factors (TC-HF) Chair. Currently, he is contributing as an Editorial Member for some renowned international journals, such as the International Journal of Control, Automation, and Systems (IJCAS); Transactions on Computational Collective Intelligence (TCCI); the IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics; and the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES) Industrial Electronics Technology News (IteN). He has been involved in organizing many international conferences such as the International Conference on Control, Automation, and Systems (ICCAS); the Korea-Japan/Japan-Korea International Workshop on Frontiers of Computer Vision (FCV); the IEEE CIS International Conference on Intelligent Computing (ICIC); the IEEE IES International Conference on Industrial Technology (ICIT); the IEEE IES International Conference on Human System Interaction (HSI); the IEEE IES International Symposium on Industrial Electronics (ISIE); and the IEEE IES International Conference on Industrial Electronics (IECON).
