个人简介
Kanad Ghose’s research in high-performance computing and computer architecture has resulted in several breakthrough designs in processor architecture, power-aware systems and high-performance computing infrastructures. One of his current projects focuses on ways to curb the energy demands of data centers, using just-in-time provisioning of information technology resources and cooling.
The importance of Ghose’s research is underscored by grants from AFOSR, BAE, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), IBM, Intel Corp. and the National Science Foundation, among others. He also received a New York State Office of Science, Technology and Academic Research (NYSTAR) Technology Transfer Incentive award.
Ghose, professor and chair of the Department of Computer Science, joined the Binghamton University faculty in 1987. He and his students work with scientists from industry partners such as IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Intel and BAE Systems. Ghose, who received his doctorate from Iowa State University, has more than 100 peer-reviewed publications in highly selective conferences and top journals in his research areas.
