Kumaraswamy Nanthakumar

Kumaraswamy Nanthakumar received the M.D. degree from the University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada, in 1995. He completed training in internal medicine and cardiology in Toronto and subsequently completed his cardiac electrophysiology training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He is currently a Professor of medicine at the University of Toronto and the Director of heart rhythm disorders at University Health Network, Toronto. He has studied the mechanisms of cardiac fibrillation and his clinical expertise is focused on the management of cardiac arrhythmias including implanted devices and catheter ablation.
