Jung jin Ju

Jung Jin Ju was born in Kyungnam, Korea, on November 17, 1967. He received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the Physics Department, Pusan National University, Korea, in 1990, 1992, and 1997, respectively. He studied laser spectroscopy of rare-earth ion doped crystals and second harmonic generation of dielectric crystals. In 1998, he was with the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science, where he developed a high-temperature thermometer by degenerate four-wave mixing. He developed a terahertz radiation source by optical rectification at the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department, Pohang University of Science and Technology, Korea. In 2000, he joined the Electronics Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), Taejon, Korea, as a Senior Research Staff Member, where he has working on the development of a polymeric wavelength converter based on nonlinear processes such as second harmonic generation, difference frequency generation, and cascading processes.
