His primary areas of investigation include Analytical chemistry, Luminescence, Phosphor, Photoluminescence and Doping. His Luminescence research is multidisciplinary, incorporating elements of Emission spectrum, Solvothermal synthesis, Crystal structure, Mineralogy and Chromaticity.

His Photoluminescence study integrates concerns from other disciplines, such as Excited state, Activator, Dopant, Crystallinity and Diffuse reflection.
