个人简介
she specialised in neurological disorders through her research studies on pain and later on dementia at King’s College London between 2008 and 2013. After five years working there as a research associate she decided to move into the charity sector. There she developed a good understanding on the best practice for evaluation of research projects and their ongoing monitoring and support. Dissemination of research and care information to people living with ataxia and to researchers and healthcare professionals was an important element of her role.
Today, aside of her position in academic research, Dr Vallortigara is a qualified Life Coach with interest in Academic career, Health and Wellbeing. She has her own coaching practice and works also in the Charity sector. In addition. she started a role as patient advocate for a company who hosts online patients communities, contributing to the content and moderating the patients site.
Dr Vallortigara has gained further working experience with the private sector, collaborating and consulting for pharmaceutical companies.
