Julian K-C Ma

Julian K.-C. Ma studied dentistry at Guy's Hospital, London, until 1983, when he began research into the prevention of dental caries by passive immunization. For the next 20 years, his research focused on the production of antibodies in plants for the protection of the oral cavity. He now holds the Hotung Chair of Molecular Immunology at St. George's Hospital Medical School, London, and is an Honorary Consultant in Immunology and Oral Immunotherapy at the United Medical and Dental Schools, Guy's Hospital. He is also a General Dental Council registered specialist in Oral Medicine.
