Julian M. Hughes

I am a passionate and highly-motivated Research Scientist in the Fisheries Resource Assessment group of the Fisheries NSW Research Branch. Over a decade undertaking research into many aspects of NSW’s fisheries resources has led to world class expertise in the field of fisheries science and high frequency publication of quality articles in excellent international fisheries journals. I have proven success in securing research funding, possess effective collaboration and team management abilities and am an experienced communicator and presenter. Extensive experience in the design of both field and lab-based experiments and sampling protocols and a comprehensive suite of statistical analysis and data management skills allow me to deliver quality research to predefined timeframes and budgets.
