个人简介
I am a PhD candidate studying Strategic Communication at the University of Colorado Boulder, at the College of Media, Communication, and Information’s Department of Advertising, Public Relations, and Media Design. I am interested in understanding how the video games industry builds consumer identities in collaboration with the US military – both through marketing choices and through the design process – and how those identities get mobilized beyond the decision to buy games. My research touches on theories of the public sphere, critical public relations, post-subcultures, to arrive at a unique perspective on the role of strategic communication in driving non-traditional grass roots activism.
