My research aims to better understand the bio-behavioural mechanisms involved in the development, progression, and treatment of chronic diseases (e.g., cardiovascular disease, pain, cancer). I maintain active research interests in: 1) detecting facial pain expression; 2) novel treatments for pain; 3) cardiovascular psychophysiology; 4) adherence to healthcare recommendations; and 5) fetal programming.
