His research focuses on the integration of clean and efficient powertrain systems with the goal to develop energy-efficient and clean powertrains to be used in vehicular applications. He also researches synergies between fuel, propulsion and after-treatment technologies for cleaner road vehicles.
He has published more than 50 journal articles (h-index 17 and more than 1500 citations) as well as contributed to two book chapters with issues related to fuel design and measurement of their properties, pollutant emissions characterisation and catalysis.
