His research method evolved over the years. Initially his research was local, but he soon realized the essential value of international multidisciplinary groups and basic research. As a result, he has participated in the organization of multiple research projects in collaboration with other institutes, including the Universities of Massachusetts, Upsala, New York, Duke, MacMaster and the Montreal Heart Institute, alternating research, management, organization and supervision positions, which has allowed him to establish national and international relationships at the highest level, as evidenced by his participation in the paradigm shift in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
