个人简介
Joonhwan Kim received the B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan, in 2012, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in bioengineering from The University of Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, in 2014 and 2018, respectively.
From 2018 to 2021, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Center for Future Medical Robotics and the Human-Robot Interaction Research Center, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, South Korea. He is currently a Senior Researcher at EasyEndo Surgical, Inc., Daejeon, South Korea, and is in charge of the development and clinical research of flexible surgical robots. His research interests include medical robotics, clinical validation, and human–robot interaction.
Dr. Kim is serving as a member of board for the Korea Society of Medical Robotics. He received the Young Researcher Award from the Korean Society of Medical Robotics in 2018, the Top 10 Machine Technology of Year from The Korean Federation of Mechanical Engineering Society in 2019, and Excellent/Best Paper Awards at the Asian Society of Computer Aided Surgery in 2020 and 2021.
