Joo-Hyung Ryu

Joo-Hyung Ryu received the B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Geology and Earth System Sciences in 1993, 1995 and 2001, respectively, from the Yonsei University, Korea. He has been working as senior and principal research scientist in Korea Ocean Satellite Center at the Korea Institute of Ocean Science & Technology(KIOST) since 2003. His research interests include sedimentary faces mapping, ecological thematic mapping, DEM generation of tidal flat using multi-platform remote sensing data and the algorithm development and application of Geostationary Ocean Color Imager(GOCI). He is currently a executive director of the Korean Wetlands Society of the Korean Society of Remote Sensing, and Korea Ocean Satellite Center.
