Jonathan D. Carroll

My undergraduate, PhD, and postdoc positions were in theoretical particle physics. My PhD thesis detailed the structure of neutron stars derived from a particle model. My postdoc research continued this, and extended to the 'proton radius puzzle' investigating a hyperfine splitting of the muonic hydrogen spectrum. I have public-sector industry research experience with the South Australian Research and Development Institute as a fisheries modeller where I developed and maintained stock assessment models, temporal-spatial catch-effort models, and aggregated stock abundance statistics. I have private-sector industry research experience with Genentech/Roche as a data curator/integrator and computational biology software developer, focused on genomics visualisations and data storage architecture.
