His primary interests as a climate scientist are in the development of coupled climate and Earth system models along with the ocean’s role in the climate system. His primary focus is on decadal to centennial-scale climate change.
Primary Research Activities:
Coupled climate and Earth system model development;
Oceanographic impacts of climate change, including sea level rise;
Improved understanding of oceanic heat uptake, carbon uptake;
Process-based model diagnostics and evaluation.
