Jing Yang, Area 6: Analytics & Decisions University of North Carolina at Charlotte, USA Jing Yang is a Full Professor at University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her research topics include visualization of multidimensional data, trees and graphs, text documents and multimedia data, urban trajectory data, time-oriented data, and sports data. She obtained bachelor’s degrees in Engineering Mechanics and Computer Science from TsingHua University and earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2005. She has been contributing papers to InfoVis since 2002 and VAST since 2006. She has served on various program committees and conference committees at IEEE Vis since 2005, including roles such as VAST poster chair, Vis short paper chair, and VAST paper chair.
