I am interested in ecology of aquatic insects, mainly stoneflies, mayflies and caddisflies. My main focus is on long-term changes in their assemblages and the role of the past anthropogenic stressors in the present distribution of species. Currently I am interested in species traits and life histories of mayflies. I also participate in the research of invertebrates in the Western Carpathian spring fens and factors shaping their assemblages. My favourite hobby is the taxonomy of mayflies - nowadays I am interested in mayflies of Iran.
