个人简介
My research interests and activities lie in the general area of computer systems architecture and high performance computing, with a recent focus on computer systems support for Big Data in edge and cloud computing. Past and current research projects spanning several levels of systems abstraction, ranging from systems architecture of multiprocessors to middleware support for cloud computing, from memory hierarchy to parallel and distributed storage and I/O systems support for big data applications, from performance modeling and simulation of parallel processing systems to implementations and measurements of distributed storage and parallel file systems, from real-time and non-real-time scheduling of tasks with precedence constraints to resource-aware dynamic load-balancing. The evolution of my research over the years has been guided not only by my personal interests and judgment but also by technological trends that determine what kind of systems are feasible to be built within the constraints of the available technology.
