Dr. Wang has been working in Neuro-Oncology Research for more than 30 years, mainly focusing on 1) the establishment of a novel, clinically relevant intracranial model of glioma that reflects the gene- and phenotypes of human gliomas in situ; 2) engineering novel immunotherapeutic approaches to target brain tumors; 3) testing FDA-approved drugs on different glioma cell lines and biopsies, which will guide the selection of tumor-associated stromal specific targets for therapeutic validation; 4) development of multi-gene edited universal macrophage and its application in the preparation of antitumor drugs. Dr. Wang has published more than 100 peer-reviewed PubMed-indexed papers in well-known scientific journals, including EMBO Molecular Medicine, Brain, Autophagy, Clinical Cancer Research, Cell Death & Differentiation, and Oncogene.
